Preliminary programme

The preliminary programme is taking shape. Herewith attached is the Congress session outline. You can view the preliminary programme here. Please check that your information is correct. 

Presentation Type

To see your presentation type, please log in to https://oxfordabstracts.com/​ and just below your submitted abstract, click on "ACCEPTED" below "Decisions". A speech bubble will appear with your presentation type.



Virtual platform presenters

Please submit your 12-minute presentation (Keynotes = 35 minutes) in MP4 format by 12 July 2024, via email to info@grassland.org.za. Please note that only the "virtual" presenters are required to submit their MP4 presentations. 

Platform presenters presenting at Gariep Forever Resort

Pease do not submit a video-recording of your presentation, as you will be presenting live.

Guidelines for 15-minute oral presentations

Each presentation is allocated 15 minutes, a 12-minute talk followed by a 3-minute Q&A session.

Guideline for 5-minute oral presentations

Each presentation is allocated 5 minutes, a 3- or 4-minute talk followed by a 1- or 2-minute Q&A session. 

Poster presenters

All poster presenters need to prepare the usual printed A0 poster, and they have the option of submitting a Twitter Poster as well. The submission deadline for the Twitter Posters is 12 July 2024.

Twitter Poster: Please submit your poster as FOUR optimised PowerPoint slides via email to info@grassland.org.za. If you have not done this before, please download the Twitter Poster template from the website. When you send us your FOUR slides, please also send us the following:

1.     Your Tweet to go with your poster (280 characters - NOT WORDS = executive summary)

2.     The link to your Twitter account - @YourTwitterHandle

3.     Include the hashtag #GSSACongress59 in your Tweet

4.     Include any other pertinent links and hashtags

Printed poster: Please bring your A0 printed poster to the Congress if you are attending physically. If you are attending virtually, do try to send your printed poster with another delegate (if possible). The posters will be displayed for the duration of Congress. During your poster session please be prepared to answer any questions the audience may have.
